The Heritage Chorale, led by Maurice Boyer, opens its 27th regular season on November 19 and 20, 2011, with concerts celebrating an icon of
our literary heritage: William Shakespeare.
Come and sample the food of love prepared by 20th- and 21st-century composers, including Ralph Vaughan Williams, Stephen Chatman, Sven-Eric Johanson, György Orbán, and Chicago’s own Michael Wolniakowski, the latest composer to receive a commission from Heritage Chorale. Jack Hickey of Oak Park Festival Theatre is guest narrator.

Brittan: St. Nicholas
The final pair of concerts, on April 14 and 15, 2012, are centered on another iconic figure: St. Nicolas. Forget the jolly yuletide visitor—Benjamin Britten’s rarely performed cantata tells the life story of a godly servant, a saint for all seasons. Heritage Chorale is joined by musicians from Pro Musica Youth Chorus and Concordia University Chicago in these concerts featuring Christopher Cock as tenor soloist.
