A Note from the Heritage Chorale and Artistic Director Guillermo Muñoz Küster

Dear Heritage Chorale supporters:

It is with great sadness that we inform you that, based on the current information regarding the ongoing health crisis, the Heritage Chorale Board has voted to suspend all in-person rehearsals and concerts for Fall 2020.  While this is a difficult decision to make, it is done in the interest of ensuring the safety and well-being of our choristers, families, and audience members.  Much uncertainty remains about the safety of group singing and the research is still very inconclusive.  Until medical developments enable us to resume group activities in a safe manner, it is simply not prudent to proceed with scheduled events.

While this is far from the way we hoped things would progress, we remain hopeful for a possible resuming of activities in the spring of 2021.  We will, of course, continue to monitor all relevant developments and make appropriate decisions.  That said, in the meantime, Heritage Chorale won’t stop!  We are discussing possible virtual activities we can all engage in during the fall to stay connected with each other.

Needless to say, while this is a disappointing development, we very much hope you are all staying well and healthy during these times.  Every choir in the world is encountering the same challenges–there is great solidarity among the global choral community!  There will be music again in the future, and when that time finally comes, the world will need the healing, spiritual uplifting, joy, solace (and so much more!) that only music can provide.

Stay well,
Guillermo and the Heritage Chorale
